As we all continue to Shelter in Place and practice safe Social Distancing, we are finding that turning away from the news and focusing on uplifting and hopeful messages provided by artists and musicians and the treasures they create, are quite beneficial. Local musician Lewis Knudsen is one of the many Quad Citians dedicated to bringing the community positive entertainment through these times. These have been trying times for many, and local musicians in the Quad Cities are no exception. Local Teen Keeping His Spirits High After Heart Transplant

A local teen has received a second chance at life and plans to make the most out of it. Cameron Cavins, a student at Moline High School, has experienced more in his 16 years than most have in a lifetime. When he was almost two years old, Cameron’s doctor discovered a heart murmur. While that may be common in many young children, what the Pediatric Cardiologists wasn’t so common. Cameron was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Make a Landing at Quad City Airport for an Electrified Art Exhibit

Quad City Arts Art at the Airport presents “Electrified” now and through Sep 2. Artists from the Quad City region will transform the gallery at the Quad City International Airport (2200 69th Avenue Moline) with sculptures that incorporate neon and video, along with other lighting effects.
