Music Guild Holding Auditions For Youth Chorus

The Quad-City Music Guild Youth Chorus will hold auditions Sunday January 7th  from 1:00-3:00pm and Monday January 8th from 4:30-5:30pm at the Prospect Park Music Guild Theater, 1584-34th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265. Auditions are open for all 3rd through 8th graders (2017-2018 school year). Please bring sheet music for an age-appropriate song (1 minute or less). In addition, there will also be a short tonal memory and rhythm reading exercise. QC Theatre Workshop has released their first production in their sixth season. Broken. Broken, a screenplay written by Aaron Randolph III and directed by Tyson Danner, is a heartfelt and emotional look at human trafficking and how it affects those touched by it. Broken focuses on the life of a young woman whose first romance leads to a nightmarish world of confusion, desperation and violence. The production follows this young woman throughout several years and while it presents a serious undertone, there will be plenty of comedy, joy and hope.
