Rock Island, Moline, Davenport, Bettendorf and throughout the Quad-Cities, ice cream fans aren’t going to be able to get the malts, or get the shakes. Whitey’s Ice Cream, a sweet institution throughout the area, will be temporarily closing all their stores starting Friday. The Rust Belt has postponed their upcoming Smashing Pumpkins concert, due to concerns about coronavirus and the governor’s mandate. EMSSC Postpones All Soccer Practices And Activities

East Moline Silvis Soccer Club has postponed all soccer practices and related team activities for rec and travel soccer teams due to considerations over the coronavirus. According to an e-mail from the club: Due to Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) guidelines, we will not be able to start our spring season at its desired time.  As of now we will not have practices starting until after March 31st.  We will keep everyone up to date as we learn more. School spirit filled United Township High School last night. The excitement and pride must have been felt for miles in neighborhoods surrounding the recently updated building. Western Big 6 rivals, United Township High School and Moline High School, played their last conference game for the 2019-2020 season in a packed Panther Den last night.
