Midwest Monster Fest 2020 is proud to welcome Richie Ramone to our September 5th and 6th event at The Rust Belt in East Moline, Illinois! Richie joined the Ramones in February 1983 til 1987. Rock Island County Fair Canceled

EAST MOLINE, Illinois (May 2020) — Earlier this month, the Rock Island County Fair Board voted to cancel the 2020 Rock Island County Fair, originally scheduled for July 14-18. “This decision was made for the health and safety of our fairgoers, exhibitors, participants, volunteers, staff and animals. East Moline's Deontae Nache Selected For Midwest Olympic Development Soccer Camp

East Moline’s Deontae Nache, a member of the East Moline Silvis Soccer Club U14 RENEGADES, was selected to the Midwest Region Olympic Development Program ID Camp. The regional camp brings top players from the Midwest to play for high level coaches and college coaches to display their skills in hopes of being selected to represent the Midwest Region. The Pot Shop (Morton Drive East Moline) is hosting a Virtual Paint Party this Thursday May 7 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Have some fun while received step-by-step guidance! Cost is $20.00 per artist for the class.  There will also be paint kits available for an additional $15.00.  This will include the canvas, tracer and all of the paint needed to create this patriotic barn.  The only thing you will need are the brushes. Trick Or Treat! Marc “Skippy” Price is coming to Midwest Monster Fest Sept. 5-6 at the Rust Belt! Marc is most known for playing Skippy on Family Ties, Price starred as Eddie ‘Ragman’ Weinbauer in the 1986 horror film Trick Or Treat. He appeared with Kevin Dillon in the 1988 action-adventure film The Rescue. He then hosted the game show Teen Win, Lose or Draw on The Disney Channel (1989–92). Leslie Vernon himself, Nathan Baesel, will appear at Midwest Monster Fest Sept. 5-6 at East Moline’s Rust Belt! Baesel graduated from the Juilliard School of Drama. One of his best known roles is in the horror/comedy cult classic as the titular character; Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. Midwest Monster Fest 2020 is proud to welcome Tamara Glynn to their Sept 5th-6th event! Glynn made her television debut in 1987 on the short-lived NBC musical, Rags to Riches. The following year, she guest-starred as Susan Fryman on the ABC sitcom Growing Pains. Glynn first became associated with the horror genre when she guest-starred on an episode of Freddy’s Nightmares, the series based on the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Quad-Cities Author Wilson’s ‘Khaki’ Named One of 100 Best Indie Novels

Local author Connie Corcoran Wilson is being honored among some pretty elite company. The area scribe’s novel Khaki=Killer, third book in The Color of Evil trilogy, was named one of the 100 Best Indie Novels in a competition sponsored by “Shelf Unbound” magazine that drew more than 120,000 entries. All three books in the series can be purchased from Amazon in both paperback and e-book versions. The books are currently being considered for feature films.
