The latest Quad City Arts’ Art at the Airport – on display through April 28 — presents aquatic paintings by Brian Buckles of Waterloo, Iowa, fiber tapestries by Rowen Schussheim-Anderson, Davenport, and coiled fiber baskets by Kelly Hanson of Moline. Through March 1, 2021, Quad City Arts’ Art at the Airport presents “A Trip Back in Time” with Drew Morton’s digital drawings of airport runways, Peter Mauney’s time lapse photographs of airplane arrivals and departures along with a selection of Mid-Century Modern artifacts on loan from Fred and Ethel’s 50’s antiques, the Putnam Museum and Science Center and private collections. Art At The Airport Presents New Works By Scott, Van Wyk And Rathje

From July 2-August 31, 2020, Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport presents Ralph Scott’s digital paintings, Andrea Van Wyk’s oil paintings and Terry Rathje’s sculptures. Ralph Scott (East Peoria, IL) manipulates cellphone images to create digital paintings. Through the use of software, Scott can achieve painterly effects or rework the composition to place emphasis on the most important details. He combines images, such as a tricycle with clouds, to create an otherworldly effect. The finished images are printed on aluminum. Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport presents encaustic paintings by Cindy Lesperance (McHenry, IL), color reduction woodcuts by Cathie Crawford (Peoria, IL) and mixed media sculptural work by Dawn Wohlford (Bettendorf, IA) March 3 to April 28. Cindy Lesperance’s work will explore the abstractness of the earth when viewed from an aerial perspective.
