The City of Moline is nestled between the banks of the Mississippi and Rock River in Rock Island County, Illinois, and is home to almost 44,000 people.

Getting To Moline, Illinois

• The Quad Cities is easily accessible by car.
• If you’re coming to the Quad Cities by air, you’ll land in Moline, at the Quad City International Airport, the third largest airport in Illinois, which proudly serves the regional Quad City area.
• Currently, five airlines offer non-stop flights to eight cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Denver, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Orlando, with hundreds of domestic and international connections available beyond those cities. On-site fueling and ground handling services are available.
• If you’re a fan of passenger rail, you’ll be excited to know that the Quad City Passenger Rail Coalition is currently working with the Illinois Department of Transportation and Amtrak to restore passenger rail service between Chicago and the Quad Cities. Currently Amtrak rail offers convenient service to downtown Chicago via the Princeton, Illinois, Amtrak station. The Princeton station is just south of interstate I-80, and free parking is available.

Downtown Moline Centre is not just any downtown. It’s located at the historic Riverfront of the Quad Cities and has become a hot spot for nightlife, residential living, and offers you dining variety: everything from casual to fine dining, German brats to Thai noodles, and an Old fashioned ice cream parlor. All told, Moline Centre features 22 restaurants, 15 pubs and clubs, 23 shopping destinations and a variety of services all waiting for you, all within easy walking distance. No wonder we say, “Come to Eat. Stay to Play.”

Bass Street Landing is the City’s newest mixed-use development area. It includes residential, commercial, and retail development along the river in downtown Moline. The completion of the new KONE Centre Tower completed Phase III of Bass Street Landing. The tower features ten stories of office space and serves as the new home to KONE’s U.S. Operations Center. The Plaza at Bass Street Landing offers a unique venue for outdoor events, festivals and gatherings. A raised performance stage anchors the plaza with a dramatic white canopy and two columns that are reminiscent of a riverboat’s smoke stacks. At the east end of the plaza, a fountain gateway leads visitors to a water feature with sculptures depicting children fishing in the Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn era. The fountain’s zero-grade entry invites children to “cool” off during hot summer days. All along the plaza space there is outdoor seating and “string lighting” to illuminate the area at night.

Located next to the plaza at Bass Street Landing is the new Stoney Creek Inn & Conference Center . The riverfront hotel features 140 rooms, ten extended stay suites with kitchens, and conference center with capacity for 450. The hotel has incorporated a nautical theme to tie into its location on the river.

Nearby is the TaxSlayer Center, the Quad Cities’ prized 12,000-seat arena and conference center, where you’ll find:

• Top musical talent like the Eagles, Cher, Tina Turner, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Tim McGraw, Kenney Chesney, and Janet Jackson.
• Disney on Ice
• The QC Storm the Quad Cities’ own minor league hockey team

• One of the biggest tourist draws in Moline is the John Deere Pavilion.
• The Pavilion features an agricultural museum that displays farm implements new and old, as well as multimedia presentations on the history of farming and on John Deere.
• Next to the Pavilion is the John Deere Store, offering unique and fun memorabilia.
• Just a stroll from the Pavilion is the new John Deere Collector’s Center, which is a recreation of a 1950-vintage Deere dealership featuring dozens of antique tractors and farm equipment.

Moline has an abundance of neighborhood parks, including:

• Riverside Park, home of the new Riverside Family Aquatic Center
• Greenvalley Sports Complex, featuring acres of baseball diamonds, soccer fields and cricket field.
• Historic Prospect Park offers pond fishing, a new tournament grade disc golf course, Trinity fitness trails and a newly restored turn-of-the-century pavilion.
• Bicyclists and pedestrians will enjoy a variety of trails and walkways including the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Mississippi River along the Ben Butterworth Parkway, a 4-mile scenic paved trail, which connects to the 62-mile Great River Trail). Picnickers may take in a glorious sunset or delight in watching those engaged in recreational activities like water skiing, boating, fishing, rowing or parasailing.
• Golfers will enjoy several top-flight courses including TPC at Deere Run, which hosts an annual PGA tour event, The John Deere Classic
