Moline, IL – Western Illinois University Student Services and the Student Government Association will collaborate to host “Welcome Week” for the first week of the Fall ‘22 semester, Monday-Friday, Aug. 22-26.

All events are free and open to any WIU student, faculty or staff member in hopes of providing a range of fun, interactive events for all to enjoy.

Western Illinois Quad Cities to Host Welcome Week

The “Welcome Week” schedule includes:

Monday, Aug. 22, 8-10 a.m.: #WelcomeWeek Join WIU for coffee and donuts in Riverfront Hall Reception.

Tuesday, Aug. 23, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: #WelcomeWeek Tie-dye a shirt in WIU purple and gold in the WIU-QC courtyard.

Wednesday, Aug. 24, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Discuss student organizations, enjoy snacks, mingle and more at the “New Student Welcome” event in Building C Atrium

Thursday, Aug. 25, all day event: Enjoy outdoor games, indoor board games and coloring and attend a “Sweet Treat Social” with WIU President Guiyou Huang from 10-11 a.m. in Riverfront Hall Atrium.

Friday, Aug. 26, 6-8 p.m.: Come out to QC Family Entertainment in Moline, for a night full of free pizza and bowling. RSVP is required and one guest is permitted per WIU student, faculty or staff member.
