Congressman Sorensen Announces $1.5 Million For East Moline Fire Department

Today, Illinois Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) visited the East Moline Fire Department on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to announce a $1.5 million Community Project Funding request to help replace an aging fire apparatus.

The funding request would support the purchase of new equipment to improve the department’s ability to respond to fires, rescues, and other emergencies across East Moline.
