And the Nominees Will Be…

It’s Oscar Nomination Eve! Yay! Despite my two favorite films of the year – Nightmare Alley & In the Heights – being left out of the Best Picture conversation, it was a rock star year for movies. It is definitely a year to celebrate! With an ever changing precursor season, however, it is getting more and more difficult to read the Oscar tea leaves. Luckily, I follow it all close enough that to still determine what’s out front and what’s been forgotten. So here we go! And the nominees for the 94th Academy Awards might be… BEST PICTURE Belfast The Power of the Dog King... Read More

You Need A Hot Potato On A Cold Day

Unfortunately, I also need money for that vacation, and so that trip to warmer climes will have to wait. However, there is a way we can get some warmth on these frigid days. (No, I’m not coming over to spoon you.) (Well, ok, I’ll consider it. Message me.) Aside from that though, you can get a hot potato! No, not the kind of Idaho spud type, but the type that will warm you in a different way. A more alcohol-based way. QC Scene Is On The Scene At CoOp Records For Einstein's Sister's Record Release Days

QC Scene was on the scene yesterday for Record Store Day at Moline’s CoOp Records, to celebrate the release of Einstein’s Sister’s first record in almost two decades. So, we’ve decided to give you two pictorials — one from yesterday’s record release, and one... Read More
