The Quad City Storm ended their home season at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline Saturday night, playing before a packed crowd of appreciative fans! The team ended their home run of their inaugural season as big winners, and so were the charities of the Quad-Cities, as the Storm surpassed their preseason goal of $100,000 raised for local charities by raising OVER $150,000 for charity! While I was working on my list of comics to order from Previews last month I noticed a surprising change to two Marvel series I was ordering. I was looking over the Marvel catalog section of Previews when I noticed that two of the series I was ordering from Marvel had made a change to the pricing of their War of the Realms mini series and the Avengers tie in issue to the same event. The average comic book is thirty two pages long and averages four dollars per page. “Running with Beto,” the HBO documentary that will air on HBO in early spring, was screened at its World Premiere at the Paramount Theater in Austin this morning (March 9) and a rapt crowd of supporters got to see Beto O’Rourke, his wife Amy, and their daughter Molly up-close-and-personal during a Q&A after the film screened.
