Davenport Students Need To Reapply For Transfers For 2023-24 School Year

Due to the closure of three elementary buildings at the end of this school year, the elementary boundaries have been reconfigured for the 2023-2024 school year. Letters were sent home in early February notifying families of which building their student will be attending next year. If a letter was not received, families may contact their student’s current school to inquire. Students who are currently enrolled in a school through a transfer option will need to reapply for the 2023-24 school year. Davenport West High School Students Earn Awards

West High School honored Students of the Month, department awards, and students earning Falcon/Kestral awards. Falcon Awards are given to 11th and 12th graders. Kestrel Awards are given to 9th and 10th graders. (A Kestrel is a small falcon.) Both are given to honor citizenship, leadership, and academics. Students were recognized with a breakfast highlighted by a keynote address given by Laura Engels, Director of Choirs at West High School. IowaWORKS will host its second private reverse hiring event for the Quad City Steamwheelers. The event will be held on Monday, March 13 from 11 am until 1 pm at the IowaWORKS job center – 1801A E. Kimberly Road, Davenport.
