‘Anybody’s Blues’, the first feature-length film from Farmer Klink Productions, the brainchild of former Quad City actor/director Ian Klink, will debut on July 1 in The Village of East Davenport. Full of tense emotions, un-ending spirit, and plenty of laughs, this film stars Justin Marxen and Jessica Taylor and features many QC local talents including Circa ‘21’s Savannah Bay Strandin. ‘Anybody’s Blues’ was shot in and around the Quad Cities in the summer of 2020 featuring a local cast and crew. Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse and The Speakeasy are thrilled to be producing this cult classic for the 7th straight year in October! Auditions will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, June 26th at Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse located at 1828 3rd Avenue in Rock Island. Please bring a current headshot & resume and prepare 16-32 bars (or one verse and one chorus) of a pop/rock song. I am not a Disney fan. In fact, quite the opposite. I find most Disney fare to be cloying, predictable, archaic, boring, and tiresome, and the only Disney material I’ve ever really loved has been “Aladdin” (in large part due to Robin Williams’ genie) and “The Jungle Book,” because it holds fond memories from my childhood.
