Rookie Goalie Bailey MacBurnie Signed By Quad City Storm

Rookie goaltender Bailey MacBurnie has signed a training camp contract with the Quad City Storm. MacBurnie completed his collegiate career at UMass-Boston in the 2019-2020 season where he performed as a four-year starter and logged a 2.38 GAA and .916 SV%. The oldest rivalry in Illinois High School sports is coming together to fight hunger. This Friday, September 17th at Browning Field, Moline High School Football hosts Rock Island Rocks Football and the students of Moline High School and Rock Island High School are competing off the field for the student hunger drive. Massive Midwest Pickleball Tourney Pops Into Quad-Cities This Weekend!

Riverside Park is set to host a major Midwest pickleball tournament this weekend, bringing in more than 200 players from several neighboring states and beyond. The Quad Cities Classic will kick off under the lights at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 with mens singles matches. Mens and women’s doubles will continue Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and the tournament will wrap up Sunday.  This is the third year for the tournament, which was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Quad City Storm Sign Joe Widmar To Training Camp Contract

The Quad City Storm has signed forward Joe Widmar to a training camp contract. Widmar is a native of Northbrook, Illinois and played in six games with the Storm in the 2019-2020 season before departing to play in the French Professional League. During the cancelled 20-21 season Widmar rostered with Cracovia Krakow in the Polish elite league where he scored 11 points in 26 games.  Read More

Quad City Storm Sign Forward Gregg Burmaster

Forward Gregg Burmaster has signed a training camp contract with the Quad City Storm ahead of the 2021-2022 season. Burmaster, 26, spent last season with ECHL Tulsa.  In 65 games played he recorded 12 goals and 14 assists.  The Clinton, NY native returns to the QCA after the Storm acquired him from the Huntsville Havoc in the 19-20 season. Quad City Storm Sign Nick Mangone

The Quad City Storm have signed Nick Mangone. Mangone has signed a Quad City Storm training camp contract for the second straight offseason.  After the Storm’s season was cancelled last year Mangone joined FPHL Columbus and scored eight goals and three assists in 20 games.  In Columbus Mangone played with current Storm teammates Connor Fries.  Prior to his season in Columbus the 25-year-old played four seasons at Nichols College.  Read More
