Get ready for some ground rumbling action this weekend! Head to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds (2815 W Locust St. Davenport) this Saturday Aug 26 for Demolition Derby! Pit gate opens at 3:30 p.m. Grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and the fun will kick off at 6:30 p.m.! Enjoy a Power Wheel Demolition Derby for kids ages 3-10, as well as some Demolition Derby action! Mid America Premier Ends Its Ride At The Top

Mid America Premier youth soccer dissolved over the summer but it ended its run on top. GotSoccer, the international site which ranks teams from around the world, ranked Mid America Premier’s undefeated U10 team as number one in Illinois for the 2017-18 season, ahead of its rivals in Peoria and Chicago and the vaunted Scott Gallagher teams from St. Louis and southern Illinois. John Deere Classic Hits The Tees This Week!

The revered and lauded local golf tournament drawing fans and sportsmen from around the world, the John Deere Classic, runs at Moline’s Deere Run course through Sunday. Competitors began teeing off today, with a wide-range of events and promotions surrounding the event. Favorites for the trophy this year include last year’s winner, Bryson DeChambeau, as well as perennial favorite and past champion Steve Stricker. Mid America Premier Runs To Huge Championship In Washington

Quad-Cities-based Mid America Premier Red, the top-ranked U10 youth soccer team in the Midwest, began its 2018 outdoor tournament season in winning fashion, with resounding thumpings of teams from throughout Illinois in the John Gaspar Soccer Tournament, including a demolishing 15-3 win in the title game. Defense carried the days as Mid America Premier – the top-rated U10 soccer team in the region, and perhaps, now it can be said, the state of Illinois – took the gold in the Lincoln Soccer Tournament Sept. 16-17, defeating not only the top teams from downstate Illinois but the official youth team of Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire.
