Quad City Storm Returns Home To Face Huntsville This Weekend!

The Storm returns to the TaxSlayer Center this weekend for the first time in three weeks to battle the first place Huntsville Havoc on Friday and Saturday.  It is the two team’s first matchup of the season.   The Storm has picked up points in nine of its last ten games and holds a league best 9-2-1 record on home ice. Tickets are now on sale for the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Wom­en’s Basketball Tournament at the TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Drive in downtown Moline, Illinois, on March 10-13, 2022.  The MVC, in its 115th season, is the nation’s second-oldest NCAA Division I conference and is recognized as one of the most progressive athletic leagues in the country. St. Ambrose Holding Soccer Camp Next Week In Davenport

We are pleased to announce our lineup of St. Ambrose Winter Soccer Camps to be held in the Ambrose Dome. Camp will be December 27th – 30th  4pm – 7pm. Camp cost $100 per camp.   The camps are for boys and girls aged 6-18 years. Campers will be divided into age and ability appropriate groups.   Group and Team discounts are available for all our camps with a minimum of 10 athletes.   All our camps will operate with COVID guidelines in place. World famous Iowa Hawkeye mascot Herky the Hawk will be in attendance Friday night at the TaxSlayer Center when the Storm battle the Peoria Rivermen.  At the conclusion of the game Herky will take flight to Indianapolis to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeye football team as they battle the Michigan Wolverines in the Big 10 Championship Game. Quad City Storm Stay Hot On Road Trip, Return Home This Weekend

The Quad City Storm collected five of six possible points on this past weekend’s three game road trip. Thursday in Birmingham the Storm beat the Bulls 5-2 in the two team’s first matchup of the season.  The Bulls struck first in period two to take the first lead of the game.  Quad City answered with three straight scores by Taylor Pryce, Shane Bennett and Pryce’s second of the night.  Kasey Kulczycki got the Bulls back within one before Filip Virgilli scored for the Storm and made it 4-2.  Nick Mangone added an empty net goal to set the final score at 5-2. East Moline 13-year-old Eli Nache was among the players selected to represent the Midwest Olympic Development Program regional soccer team at the US Youth Soccer ODP Inter-regional Event being held in Orlando, Fla. Nov. 16-20! Nache, playing the 2 spot at right outside defensive back, was among over 100 players who went through the three-day tryout for the event from a pool of players from the Midwest region including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
