Three players from the East Moline Silvis Soccer Club U12 Spartans have made the final cut for the Illinois State Soccer Team in their age group, and seven players overall from EMSSC made the cut! Eli Nache and Jonas Cortez made the final cut for the state team for 2008, and Junior Garibay made the pool team! Illinois Youth Soccer has been working to stop the spread of coronavirus through youth soccer by cancelling events through, at least, April 15, with more cancellations potentially being announced. The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of 4th Avenue and 23rd Street in Rock Island. The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train will soon set out once again to entertain hundreds of thousands of people, celebrating 21 years of collecting food and raising funds for food banks across North America.
