This Thursday, after a rain delay on Wednesday, Hamilton Elementary held their Humpty Dumpty Day. Kindergarten students at the newly expanded elementary school got to show off their engineering skills, while the entire school watched, as contraptions they made at home containing a raw egg were dropped from the thirty-foot building. The final goal of an intact egg was not as easy to obtain as they initially thought. Some students wrapped their eggs in bubble wrap, cotton, string, foam and other materials. One of the most enjoyable springtime festivities will always be the Easter Egg Hunts! The Moline Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with Sexton Ford to bring you not one, but TWO unique Easter Egg Hunts this year! Both hunts will be held on Saturday, April 8. Kids ages 8 and under, are invited for the 13th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Riverside Park Field (3300 5th Ave. Moline). On Tuesday, April 4, the library offers a Teen Perler Bead night from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the Rock Island 30/31 Branch bookstore, 3059 30th Street. Perler® is a brand name for fusible plastic beads that are placed on a plastic pegboard to form designs and then fused together with an iron. Easter is just around the corner and it’s time to kick off the Easter Egg Hunts! Dahl Ford in Davenport will be hosting their 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Food Drive on Sunday, April 2. The hunt will take place in the parking lot of Dahl Ford, located at 1310 E Kimberly Rd Davenport. Admission is a non-perishable food item to be donated to Hope Church Food Pantry in LeClaire, IA. Ballet Quad Cities is pulling back the curtain on its upcoming Wild, Wild West ballet with a Dance Me a Story event on Monday at the Rock Island Public Library. Dance Me a Story presents a child-friendly introduction to the ballet on March 20 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room of the Rock Island Main Library, 401 19th Street.
