Western Illinois University Alumna Wins Online Singing Competition

MACOMB, IL – A 2018 Western Illinois University alumna has won the Seth Sing-Off: Stephanie J. Block edition. Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate Sam Bonzi won the competition, which is part of “The Seth Concert Series.” The edition aired online Monday, Aug. 17. Bonzi submitted a tape of her singing a portion of “The Wizard and I,” and was chosen as one of five finalists to appear on the live show. She then was chosen the winner. WQPT will host a 45 minute screening of the Ken Burns documentary “The Gene: An Intimate History” on Thursday, September 17 at 7:30pm at the Blue Grass Drive In as part of the Quad City Engineering and Science Council’s “Teacher’s Night Out” series.
