Davenport Schools Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Winners

The Davenport Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the 2023 scholarship recipients from the Davenport Community School District (DCSD). 50 scholarships, totaling more than $95,000 have been awarded to 46 students to pursue their post-secondary education. The foundation is grateful for the generosity of donors who make these scholarships available to students in the district. SAU Football Player Titus-Porter Serves As Mentor For Davenport Elementary Kids

De’Viann Titus-Porter, or ‘TP’ to his many friends, is a graduating senior at St. Ambrose University and football player. TP is also a graduate of North High School! Over the past school year, TP served as a mentor at Wilson Elementary School and today the school threw an event called ‘Bee the Difference’ featuring SAU cheerleaders and football players. Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation Awards a Record $141,200 in Scholarships

In a full Rock Island High School Auditorium, the Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation (RIMEF) awarded $141,200 to the Class of 2023 at its Austin Academic Achievement Awards and RIMEF Scholarships Night on May 9. 57 accomplished Rock Island High School (RIHS) seniors received $36,000 in Austin Academic Achievement Award (AAAA) scholarships and $105,200 RIMEF Named scholarships at the annual ceremony. The Quad Cities Registered High School Apprenticeship 2023 Signing Day Event was held today at the Waterfront Center in Bettendorf! During this event 55 students from the Davenport Community School District signed apprenticeships with area employers.
