The Quad Cities Community Foundation today announced the recipients of a total of $566,000 through its Coordinated Field of Interest Grant program. Made possible by donors to the Community Foundation, this year’s program pools resources from 11 different Field of Interest Funds as well as the Quad Cities Community Impact Fund. The Coordinated Field of Interest Grant program represents one of the largest single grantmaking distributions made by the Community Foundation each year. Bereskin Gallery & Art Academy is presenting the 5th-annual “Plein Air Paint Out” along the Mississippi River on Saturday, Sept. 25, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Artists may paint along the Mississippi from the I-80 Bridge to the Centennial Bridge on either side of the river. All mediums are acceptable. In order to accommodate the replacement of an HVAC unit, the Bettendorf Public Library’s drive up window and delivery lane will be closed starting this Friday, September 24th, 2021. The installation procedure is estimated to take three weeks. The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting to discuss the Interstate 80 corridor study in Scott County. The I-80 study includes evaluation of potential capacity expansion options on I-80 and related improvements at the interchanges along the corridor.
