The Western Illinois University Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration is accepting students into its updated Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Event Planning and Management program for Fall 2022. The program has been redesigned to meet the scheduling needs of busy practitioners and adult learners interested in expanding their knowledge of events. Iowa's Eldridge Genesis Convenient Care to Expand Hours Beginning July 5

Residents of Eldridge and northern Scott County will have increased access to health care when Genesis Convenient Care, Eldridge expands to full-time hours beginning July 5, 2022. Convenient Care, located at 301 N. 4th Ave. at the Eldridge Family Practice clinic, opened in October 2019 to offer easy walk-in access for treatment of minor conditions and injuries. Rock Island Schools Offering Free Breakfast And Lunch To Children In June

The Rock Island-Milan School District is offering breakfast and lunch at no cost to children under the age of 18 for the month of June, regardless of income level or school district boundary area. Meals will be offered at Rock Island High School (1400 25th Avenue) from June 2 -29. Breakfast is from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and Lunch is from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Meals must be consumed on site. Western Illinois' Cerullo Named Interim Director of UCC

Cara Cerullo, a counselor in the Western Illinois University Counseling Center, has been named interim director of the center, effective July 1. Amy Buwick, who has served as director since 2018, retired in May after nearly 29 years of service at WIU. A national search will be held at a later date.
