Help the City of Rock Island celebrate the American Doll & Toy Museum, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday Feb 12 at 11 a.m. The American Doll & Toy Museum, now located at 1303 30th Street #2 Rock Island (the former Vintage Rose Store), will be finding a new home this year at a currently vacant Rock Island library. Love is in the air. Mark your calendar for February 14th, Valentine’s Day. Celebrate love with song and word from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with performer Chris Dunn at First Lutheran Church Parish House, 1600 20th Street, Rock Island. February is Library Lovers’ Month, and the Rock Island Public Library is offering a way for patrons to encourage the gift of reading all month long. Special Have a Heart for Reading donation trees will be available at Rock Island Downtown and Southwest Library locations from February 3 through 29.
