Figge Art Museum Awards Four $12,000 Scholarships to Quad-Cities Students

The Figge Art Museum, Davenport, has announced the 2021 recipients of the prestigious $12,000 Brand Boeshaar scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to students who wish to earn a degree in fine arts, graphic design, architecture or art education at a college or university. Davenport resident Lillian L. Brand established the Brand Boeshaar Scholarship in memory of her nephew, William Brand Boeshaar, an art student who attended St. Ambrose University. Country star Jason Aldean will kick off the planned return of the Mississippi Valley Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021. Last year, the 101-year-tradition canceled altogether due to Covid-19.
