The Rock Island Library is reviewing all library programming for the next two to three weeks and expect to make an announcement after Tuesday’s board meeting in regard to postponement or cancellation.

If you are registered for a program, you will receive an automatic email from our online registration system if it is cancelled. If the program does not require registration, watch for email updates from us. We also recommend checking our online calendar.

Please stay tuned for updates by email and social media.

Older adults and those with chronic illnesses are more at risk for COVID-19 (coronavirus.) We encourage you to use your own discretion when deciding whether or not to attend a program or visit the library. If you are feeling ill, please refrain from attending public programming or visiting the library in person.

For more information about our response to COVID-19, including how to protect yourself, please see our web page, Coronavirus and your library.

Our interest is in keeping you and our staff safe and healthy. Please know that we are taking this situation very seriously, library officials said.

Our Reference staff can also help answer questions by phone at 309-732-7341 or via our Reference Email.
