How does a weekend full of beautiful melodies and harmonies sound? Splendid, right?

Augustana College’s Department of Music has an eventful weekend planned at Centennial Hall (3703 7th Ave Rock Island). All concerts are free to the public.

Friday Feb 2, come tap your foot to the upbeat rhythms at the Jazz Ensemble Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. The 18-member Augustana Jazz Ensemble will perform music by Carmichael and Rodgers and Hart, among others.

Saturday Feb 3 at 4 p.m. indulge your ears and mind with glorious melodies at the Winter Choral Concert. The Winter Choral concert will include the Augustana Concert Chorale, Jenny Lind Vocal Ensemble and Augustana Choir. It will also feature the two winners of the annual Webster Vocal Competition.

At 7 p.m. on Saturday, pamper your senses with the baritone beauty of the Augustana Low Brass Choir Concert.
