WQPT Writing Contest Winners SelectedWQPT received 265 stories from students in kindergarten through third grade for the annual PBS/WQPT KIDS Writers Contest. Sixteen winners (four from each grade) were selected by educators and contest sponsors. The winners and their families were honored and awarded prizes at Deere-Wiman House on Sunday, May 20.

“I am always surprised by the clever stories the children come up with” said Michael Carton, Director of Education and Outreach for WQPT.

All the entries will be available for pick-up at WQPT after the May 20 award ceremony.
