WQPT, Quad Cities PBS is pleased to introduce its 2017 WQPT/PBS Ambassadors, an elite volunteer corps made up of college students.

Entering its 13th year, the program provides college students with the opportunity to represent their local public television station at events throughout eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

“This year is not only our 13th year, we actually have the daughter of one of our first ambassadors in this class,” said Bea Brasel WQPT Special Projects Coordinator.

WHO are the WQPT/PBS Ambassadors?

The 2017 Ambassadors are Sarah-Beth Floyd (Western Illinois University-QC), Maya Chavez (Black Hawk College), Shemal Sarma (Augustana), My Pham (Augustana), Alexandria Sanchez (Western Illinois University-QC), Katy Reed (Illinois State), Amsatou Sow (Western Illinois University-QC), Christopher Black (Black Hawk College), Lauren Tague (Illinois State), Andrew Kirkland (Western Illinois University-QC), Marissa Kletke (Western Illinois University-QC), Raymond Miller (Illinois State), Iame Rea – University of Iowa (Not Pictured).

 

 

WHO are the WQPT/PBS Ambassadors?
Sean Leary is an author, director, artist, musician, producer and entrepreneur who has been writing professionally since debuting at age 11 in the pages of the Comics Buyers Guide. An honors graduate of the University of Southern California masters program, he has written over 50 books including the best-sellers The Arimathean, Every Number is Lucky to Someone and We Are All Characters.
