On Saturday Sep 30, Illiniwek Forest Preserve is hosting a Tipi Gathering and you’re invited. From 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. the entire family can experience elements of the Great Plains Native American culture. This event is free!

From 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. you will be able to view and tour seven different tipis, while conversing with the owners and hearing their stories. From 1-3 p.m. drum circles and dancing will commence, providing a glimpse into the Native American culture. From 3-5 p.m. will be a dinner break, followed by more drum circles and dancing until 7 p.m.
