Spring Floral Show Springs Into VanderveerSpring has officially sprung, and it’s hard not to notice the beautiful flowers blooming all over. But how about being able to see all that beauty in one place?

Vander Veer Botanical Park in Davenport started their Spring Floral Show in February and will continue until June 1. It features many spring flowers, such as hyacinths, tulips, azaleas, daffodils, fuchsia, orchids, cyclamen and begonias.

The Conservatory at Vander Veer is located at 215 W Central Park in Davenport. Both the Conservatory and the greenhouses are open Tuesdays thru Sundays from 10am-4pm (closed on Mondays). The greenhouses are open to the public for strolling and enjoying the production side of conservatory display. Admission for the Conservatory is $1 for adults ages 16 and older, and free for ages 15 and under. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free on Tuesdays.

While at Vander Veer, you can also enjoy the Grand Allee, a walkway of trees of gardens that leads to the popular Stone Fountain. There is also the Municipal Rose Garden, the Hosta Glade, the Children’s Sculpture Garden, the lagoon and playground, and much more!

The park is open daily from sunrise until one half-hour after sunset. Vehicle entrances are off Central Park Avenue. Admission to the park is free.

Make sure to schedule a visit to Davenport’s own Vander Veer Botanical Park, which was established back in 1885. You won’t be disappointed!
