Last year the inaugural Food Truck Fight was an amazing success. After expecting (based on advanced ticket purchases and Facebook responses) there was an expected amount of around 1,500 people in attendance. According to organizer Bobby Ray Bunch, the event had “one thousand people in the first hour and over four-thousand in total.”

Because of the wonderfully large number in attendance, some of the food trucks did unfortunately start running out of the goods. Bunch shares about the experience, “We learned a lot and are excited to show the changes we’ve made. We look forward to executing the plans we’ve put into place.”

One major change this year is doubling the number of food trucks to 14 with an added popcorn tent. The trucks will also have more cold storage to prepare for the growing numbers of hungry patrons. The beer tents will also now only take beer tickets purchased at the beer ticket tent. This will alleviate time spent dealing with cash exchange for those cold brews. Recycling options will also be available.

“We took a lot of negatives from last year and tried to address them. We’ve reinvested to make this a better event. We look forward to putting on this event for years to come.” Bunch states.
