Learn what actions your family can take to help our planet thrive for generations to come by attending Niabi Zoo’s Earth Day celebration this weekend!

This two-day Earth Day event is happening at the Niabi Zoo (13010 Niabi Zoo Road Coal Valley) this Saturday Apr 21 and Sunday Apr 22 at 10 a.m.

Niabi’s educators along with other conservation organizations from the community will have hands-on activities and educational sessions to raise awareness about conservation and provide a path to action.

Global preservation efforts start in your own backyard! Take part in the world’s largest environmental movement. Earth Day activities are included in regular admission charges, which are $9 for adults, $8 for Senior Citizens (62 years and up), $6.50 for Kids (3-12 years old) and Kids 2 and under are free. Parking is $3 per vehicle and can be paid at the gate. For more information, visit http://www.niabizoo.com.

Get your morning starting early with a Breakfast with the Earth.  You will meet a very special animal guest (it’s a surprise!) that will help you understand why it is so important for people to help the Earth and the animals in it. The breakfast will be from 8:30 – 10 a.m. and the cost is $20 for member. You can register online at https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07eevl5z2o34875ca0&oseq=&c=&ch=.

Enjoy some breakfast and then join the festivities throughout the Zoo during our Earth Day Celebration!
