dreamtrailsAs more and more people have become ecologically aware, recycling has become more and more popular, and in the last year, it’s also become a popular subject and technique for local artists.

In its second year, the Revive 2 exhibit at Bucktown Center For The Arts, 225 East 2nd St., Davenport, features a number of area creators who have breathed new life into old materials to assemble fresh artworks. Everything from old keys to rusty license plates to used envelopes and more has been cribbed to put together new and exciting artworks which are on display through the end of August.

The exhibit is open for the public to review Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and During Final Friday (last Friday of the month), open until 9 p.m.
Revive features an audience choice award in which people checking out the artworks can vote for their favorite, with the winners being awarded during the Final Friday ceremony and Revive 2 closing reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 26.
