1 in 59 children are diagnosed with autism each year. And thanks to local organizations, such as the Royal Ball Run for Autism, increasing awareness and support in our area is possible.

The Royal Ball Run for Autism has donated more than $200,000 to local autism programs, including the Quad Cities Autism Center and the Augustana College Speech and Language Therapy program. And now they need your help to raise even more!

On Friday Jun 21, the Royal Ball for All Carnival and Fun Run will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Camden Centre (2701 1st Street E Milan).  With the purchase of a $10 wristband, participants will enjoy bounce houses, carnival games, food, royal dancing, and plenty of fun! The Fun Run will take place at 6:30 p.m. and registration is only $15 ($20 onsite registration).

The 8th Annual Royal Ball Run for Autism will take place on Saturday Jun 22. The race features a chip-timed, flat, fast 5K and 5 Mile race through Milan and along the Rock River bike path. The race starts and finishes at the 4th street entrance of the Milan HyVee.

The Heroes and Highnesses Walk will take place at 7:30 a.m. This walk is a 1/4 mile out and back in celebration of royally remarkable individuals on the spectrum.

At 8 a.m. the 8th Annual Royal Ball Run 5K and 5-mile will begin. Trophy Presentation will follow at 9:30 a.m.
