Are you looking for a little Sunday Funday family time? Then look no further than the Quad City Botanical Center!

This month’s Sunday Funday event at the QC Botanical Center (2525 4th Avenue Rock Island) is all about Plant Science! On Sunday May 6 from 1-3 p.m. bring the entire family out for a day of learning and fun!

Get answers to the questions:

What hides in the soil to help plants grow?

What exactly do plants take from water?

Why do plants need sunshine to grow?

Thanks to a grant from the American Chemical Society, they will be exploring plant tissue with a brand-new plant microscope, along with many more fun learning tools. And don’t miss the water feature in the Children’s Garden!

Sunday Funday events are included with general admission. Adults are $6 (16 years and older), Seniors (60+) and Military are $5, Youth (ages 6-15) are $4, Children (ages 2-5) are $2 and toddlers (under 2) are free. For more information, visit http://www.qcgardens.com/ or call (309) 794-0991.

Come enjoy some educational family fun this weekend at the QC Botanical Center!
