What a better way to remember loved ones that have been lost than to assist in raising awareness for the growing need of hospice care in the Quad Cities.

Genesis Health Services Foundation is hosting their annual Remembrance Tree ceremony this Wednesday Nov 14 from 6 – 7 p.m. This year’s tree lighting celebration will take place at Bechtel Park on River Drive and Iowa Street in Davenport.Genesis Remembrance Tree Lights Up This Week

A musical prelude will begin at 6 p.m. with Ellis Kell Winter Blues All-Stars. The blessing and illumination of the Remembrance Tree will take place at 6:30 p.m.

Since 2004, the Genesis Remembrance Trees have raised more than $30,000 for hospice care at Genesis. Lights on the tree can be sponsored for $10 to honor loved ones no longer with us. Donations for a light can be made online at https://www.genesishealth.com/giving/donate/.

Come out this weekend to keep the memories of loved ones alive while helping those in need.
