The Col Ballroom, home to some of the most eclectic and wide-ranging rock concerts and social events in the Quad-Cities, will be closing its doors for good at the end of October.Col Ballroom Closing Oct. 29
Owner Leigh A. Macias-Reitz posted on the Col Ballroom Facebook page today, “It is with sincere regret to inform you that The Col Ballroom will be closing it’s doors October 29th. With my whole heart I thank you all so very much for doing business with me. I very much enjoyed being a part of your weddings, quinces, birthdays, and many other celebrations held here at the Col. Please join me and my family at our final event, SoulFest 2018 on Friday, October 26th. Though it will be a night of love, happiness, dancing, and laughter I cannot help but admit for me, it will be one of sadness and heartbreak. I truly love the Col Ballroom more than anyone would ever know and it has kept me very busy following the death of my husband but it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter in my life.”
It is unknown if there are any future plans for the location or any interested new ownership groups.
