Race For The Cure And Race For A Great CauseOne in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Every two minutes, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in America. These are just two shocking statistics that show the reality and prevalence of this cancer and why help is needed for those it affects.

On Saturday June 10, the 28th Annual Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure will be happening in Downtown Moline. Race day registration and packet pick-up will start at 6 a.m. at the iWireless Center. At 7:15 a.m. will be the Survivor Parade, followed by the 5K and 1.2 mile race at 8 a.m.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the world’s largest, most successful fundraising and education event for breast cancer. The race series includes more than 140 events on four continents, with over one million participants coming together every year to take part in the fight against breast cancer.
