John and Isabel lived, raised their family and created art in the East Village. Village in Bloom celebrates their contribution and encourages young people to get involved in the arts. The festival will provide art activities from sculpting with clay to making cards and puppets, sculptures created by area children composed of locally available recycled materials, clay sculptures created by area teens and performance groups showcasing their talents as singers, instrumentalists, puppeteers, dancers and actors.

A tentative list of these performances can be found at: http://www.villageinbloom.org/. Exhibits of John and Isabel’s artwork will also be available for your viewing pleasure. You will also enjoy live performances on the big stage along with ongoing street acts, face painting, street chalking and mural making!
