Kids can try their hand at all sorts of science and engineering projects with the Rock Island Public Library’s monthly STEM-Azing after-school events.

The next session, on Wednesday, Sept. 14, will feature experiments using wind power.  STEM-AZING is offered from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month at the 30/31 Branch, 3059 30th Street. Additional STEM-AZING learning events will be offered on Oct. 12, Nov. 9, Dec. 14. The hands-on projects for school-age children ages 6 and up demonstrate concepts in science, technology, engineering or math.
