Brandon Shupp and his band perform Sunday night as part of the QC Festival of Praise in Davenport’s LeClaire Park.

With beautiful weather and a beautiful spirit uniting the crowd, the 20th annual QC Festival of Praise was a huge success. Sunday evening’s concert in Davenport’s LeClaire Park, featuring Brandon Shupp, the Heritage Worship Team, and headliner Rend Collective, drew thousands to the park for a night of music and worship.

“We were really happy with it!” said Babette Howard, promotions and marketing director for the event. “I went around the crowd and people seemed to really be enjoying themselves.

The night included events for children, bounce houses, food and a salute to all Quad-Cities area police and employees of the departments. Kids frolicked about, adults relaxed in lawn chairs, people noshed on various delicious delectables and people swayed and sung along with the uplifting music.

“It was incredible, all of the musicians were great, the musicianship, the performance, it was amazing,” she said. “It was great to see. People were unified, holding hands, to see all of the church community unified that night was amazing. It was a church without walls.”
