Looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday morning, alongside some local heroes?

The East Moline Police Department will be hosting their 2nd Annual Youth Fishing Derby this Saturday May 18 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Lower Butterworth Park (1800 Archer Drive East Moline).

Registration will take place Saturday morning at Butterworth Park, beginning at 9 a.m. This event is open to the first 100 entries (ages 5-15), so get there early!

In addition to the rare opportunity to fish alongside some of East Moline’s finest, participants will receive a free youth entry gift. There will also be raffle prizes, grilled hot dogs, chips, Coke products and Country Style Ice Cream!

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will entertain all with some fishing and outdoor demonstrations.
