Heart Art? Free Family Day At Figge SaturdayLooking for something fun and educational to do with the entire family this weekend? Then look no further than the Figge Art Museum!

On Saturday June 24, the Figge is hosting a FREE Family Day! That’s right, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. you and your family can help celebrate the new exhibitions with a variety of hands-on projects and experiences, for FREE!

From making your own Clothespin Dolls to creating Haitian art, there will be no shortage of fun projects for everyone to love. Enjoy some free play in the Artica, the museum’s most kid-friendly space! Or you can stop by the lobby for some free snacks and visit with the US Fish & Wildlife Service to learn more about the endangered mussels in the Mississippi River. There will also be films scheduled throughout the day in the Auditorium.

Also make sure to check out the new summer exhibitions, ‘Chad Pregracke: Message in a Bottle Collection’, ‘Aernout Overbeeke and Teska Overbeeke: Life on the Mississippi; The Art of Shared Experiences: New Haitian Works from the Figge Collection’, ‘Jean Shin MAiZE’ and Black Dolls from the Collection of Deborah Neff; Kara Walker: The Emancipation Approximation (Parental Advisory: Graphic Content).

Do not miss this opportunity to visit this one of a kind premier art exhibition and education facility, while enjoying time with the family!
