One of the most unique, colorful, fun, and creative stores in the Quad-Cities is going to be closing its doors.

Crafted QC, at 221 E. 2nd St., will be shutting down for good at the end of August.

A Sad Goodbye To A Creative Hot Spot: Davenport's Crafted QC Is Closing Its DoorsThe owner of the store, Mary Talbert, sent out this announcement and posted this to her social media today:

So this is a hard email to write, but I’m confident this is 100% the right decision. I’ve decided it’s time to close Crafted QC at the end of August.
Why? There are many reasons, but at the end of the day it’s because of my own health issues. It’s time for me to step away and focus on myself. I will continue doing freelance graphic design and pursuing my own art.
It has been six and a half years of adventure. Ups and downs, happiness and meltdowns. I wouldn’t change any of it. I’m made tons of friends and met amazing people that create beautiful things.
So what happens now?
1) Closing: End of August.
The anticipated closing date is around August 25. We will gradually mark items down. New items are still coming in, but no more orders will be placed.
2) Gift Cards.
Spend them!
3) Workshops and Private Parties.
We will cease hosting these events after June classes are finished.

(Formerly Beckyfest). This event will go on, as promised, this August and December. We’re gonna rock ’em!
5) Merchandise Sales.
All sales will now be final with no refunds or exchanges.
6) Fixtures and More.
We’ll have a LOT of fixtures and merchandising items for sale as well as merch that never even made it to the floor. AND new items are still coming in. Our goal is to have fixtures priced by the beginning of July. Interested in something? Make me an offer.
7) Let’s Have Fun!
It’s been a tough couple of years. Let’s make these last few weeks FUN!
I have met so many great people and this is a chapter of my life that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Thank you for being a part of it.
Mary
