It’s from a band that burst on the scene in the strange and creative mid-’90s alternative rock scene with this particular video, which was so catchy and bizarre that it was impossible to avoid, and not to love.
The Flaming Lips would go on to become critical and commercial darlings, and still maintain a reputation as a phenomenal live and studio band. But their crack through to the semi-mainstream (or at least out of the complete underground) began with this little ditty.
